Vaaradhi Trust needs Python, not a static folder

manage.py and passenger_wsgi.py are server files. Opening them as website URLs is blocked (403) on purpose.

  1. In hosting: create a subdomain (example: test.vaaradhi.org.in) and a Python App
  2. Application root = this project folder (where manage.py lives)
  3. Startup file = passenger_wsgi.py (set in the panel, do not visit it in the browser)
  4. Document root / public folder = public
  5. In .env set SITE_URL to that subdomain, then later change it to the main domain
  6. Then run: pip install -r requirements.txt, python manage.py migrate, python manage.py collectstatic --noinput

On this XAMPP PC, start Django and open http://127.0.0.1:8000/ — not /vaaradhi/.
